Milliken recognized as world’s most ethical company for 19th yr

Milliken & Company has once again been recognized as one of the World’s Most Ethical Companies by Ethisphere, marking the 19th consecutive year the diversified global manufacturer has earned this distinction. Milliken is one of only six companies to be honored every year since the award’s inception in 2006, underscoring its long-standing commitment to integrity and ethical business practices.

“Our consistent inclusion on the World’s Most Ethical Companies list reflects the collective efforts of our associates worldwide who embody our core values,” said Halsey Cook, President and CEO of Milliken & Company. “We are grateful to once again be recognized by Ethisphere and stand firm in our resolve to uphold the highest standards of ethics across our operations.”

Milliken has continued to strengthen its corporate governance, ethics, and compliance initiatives. In 2024, the company updated its policies on data protection, launched new training programs and compliance courses for its associates, and achieved ISO 27001 certification. Additionally, Milliken conducted a comprehensive third-party risk management audit and maintained its Gold rating from EcoVadis, reinforcing its commitment to responsible business practices.

Kasel Knight, Senior Vice President, Chief Legal Officer, and Head of Sustainability at Milliken, emphasized the importance of ethical leadership within the company. “We strive to uphold a culture where doing the right thing is ingrained in our daily actions,” he said. “Ethical business practices are fundamental to Milliken’s role as a trusted partner and industry leader, and this recognition inspires us to continue identifying ways to enhance our standards.”

The World’s Most Ethical Companies assessment is based on Ethisphere’s proprietary Ethics Quotient®, a comprehensive evaluation that examines more than 240 proof points across categories such as corporate culture, environmental, social, and governance (ESG) practices, ethics and compliance programs, diversity, equity, and inclusion, and initiatives supporting a strong value chain. In 2025, 136 companies from 19 countries and 44 industries were honored with this distinction.

“Recognizing Milliken as one of the World’s Most Ethical Companies for the 19th time is an honor for Ethisphere,” said Erica Salmon Byrne, Ethisphere’s Chief Strategy Officer and Executive Chair. “Milliken’s dedication to business ethics and continual improvement exemplifies the qualities of a long-time honoree. Congratulations once again to Milliken for achieving this recognition.”
